Share what you Know

I have been thinking a lot about revelations in life and I keep encountering an important piece of advice:

Share what you know.

It is so simple, but I think we forget to do it a lot of the time. When we have an experience that changes us or an encounter that we can't get out of our minds, we need to share it. When you experience a revelation of God or of the Spirit, you need to share it.

Reading from my book on animal totems, I found this advice, yet again, when I was learning more about "wolf medicine".

"It is in the sharing of great truths that the consciousness of humanity will attain new heights."

Too often I think we wonder whether we are fit to share the things we know. Maybe we think we are too young, too old, too inexperienced, or just don't want to get in people's way. The truth actually is that no one has to listen to what you are saying! When you share an experience or advice the listener gets to choose to heed it or not. Most often, the one who chooses to listen is already seeking what it is that you have to share.

When learning more about how to be present to the Spiritual world, it has been taught that when we experience a revelation of God, even if we don't know if it was God for sure, we have to share it. It is in the sharing that the Spirit guides us to understand.

See, Share, Understand.

In sharing our stories, we are able to pass on valuable, even life-changing, information to people who might not hear it any other way. At the same time, in sharing our stories, we learn a little more about the truth that we have encountered and how it can apply to our lives. It is a two way blessing.
